Our story
RNP Capital wasn’t built in a boardroom...
...it was forged over decades of operational excellence, deep enterprise relationships, and real-world GTM execution.
It started in the 2000s. Alan Dumas and David Bates — veterans of the technology sales and integration space — built Accunet Solutions into the largest global partner for Isilon Systems. When Isilon was acquired for $2.25B by EMC, the realization hit hard: their role in building that trajectory was never matched by a piece of the outcome. As David puts it:
“If we had simply asked to invest, we would’ve made more than we did over eight years of partnership.”
That realization became the spark that lit RNP Capital. The idea? Invest earlier, deliver greater value than traditional capital ever could, and build something that allows everyone — founders, customers, and investors — to win.
​Since then, RNP has evolved into a full-stack investment and enablement engine. We don’t just write checks. We bring customers through DTG’s direct sales force, GTM insights from decades in the field, and strategic LPs who open doors as operators and buyers.
We exist to bring real-world execution back into early and mid-stage investing — and we’ve built the playbook to prove it.
